That may have something to do with the fact that the target audience for Glee is high schoolers, and they aren’t the most educated, tolerant, open-minded, etc. group of people on the planet. Not to say that applies to all high schoolers, but the vast majority of them. It would seem to me that maybe the show’s creator should try practicing what he preaches.
