This here be a rant about True Blood’s episode tonight, but to save you all from having to read my insanity, I’ll stick it under a cut….

*sigh* Okay, so there are lots of things about the ongoing stories right now that are irking me, but here are my top two WTF things:

1. What the fuck is wrong with Sookie? I get it, sweetness, that you wish you were normal. Her magic might be finite, but what about her blood? When she runs out of magic does that mean her blood just magically becomes human? What if it doesn’t? If you’re left with this fae blood that has no human match and all that sweetness in it the vamps are craving, the second one of them drains you you’re left with two options.
1: You get turned into something you don’t want to be (and she better hope that Bill isn’t the one who drains her because I don’t think he’d hesitate to turn her).
2: YOU DEAD.

After all Sookie’s been through I find it really disheartening that she has absolutely no interest in being educated about the other part of her. She doesn’t have to necessarily embrace being a fairy, but fuck. I mean, has it not at all crossed her mind that this is the only real defense mechanism she has against hungry vampires and once she drains it, she’s fucked? I don’t think she’s thought this through. Yeah, maybe it would be nice to be normal, get married and raise a whole litter of babies but I don’t think that’s going to happen for her. Ever. Does she ever think things through? I mean seriously.

2. What the fuck is wrong with Hoyt? Where did we go wrong with you, sugar? Such a nice, normal guy (aside from your crazy ass mama). I mean, really, is all this shit necessary, bb?

He seems to be going down a similar path to the one that Jason went down after all that shit happened after all of the murders in Bon Temps. Did he learn nothing from what Jason went through? Look at all of the shit Jason’s had to deal with as a result of his choices to get involved with hate groups. It’s really fucked up that he’s blaming Jessica for the way his life turned out. He’s always talking about being a grown ass man capable of making his own choices, but he doesn’t want to take responsibility for any of them. Sadly, he was better off as a mama’s boy than he is now. I don’t, for a single second, believe that he’s really on board with what this hate group is up to. By the time he figures that out, though, it might be too late. Getting rid of Jessica isn’t going to fix what’s wrong with him.

Random other things that bug me:

Alcide. How long before he decides that his sparring buddy is the love of his life? He’s had at least two now, right? Scribeninja proposes next episode. I believe she might be correct.
Why the fuck doesn’t Terry just shoot his sergeant already and get it over with? I don’t think that fire at his and Arlene’s house was the result of some fucked smoke monster. Whatever the guy’s name is, he’s the one who gave the order and Terry’s life has been shit ever since this guy came around. Make. It. Stop.
I’m starting to wonder if Jessica’s going to become part of the Sanguinist movement. It’s hard to tell if she’s just trying to find her way as a vampire, or if she really does think of humans as just a food source. Or was she just pissed off at Jason for insulting her? Whatever the case may be, she needs to do a little soul searching because I’m finding it harder and harder to like her this season.
Is anyone else having a really hard time following all this religious bullshit besides me? To me it doesn’t make any fucking sense. They all believe in Lillith, but think her purpose/message is different, is what I’m understanding. So basically it’s like Catholics fighting Lutherans, which is just...
