True Blood S6 Ep1
Alright, alright, alright… I’m not ashamed to admit that I watched the episode three times last…
See now I don’t know that I really see it as Eric pushing her around. I see it as he’s got his priorities and they happen to be bigger than fixing his relationship with her and Pam not liking it. I see Pam as having tunnel vision and wanting to have Daddy back, all to herself the way it’s been for the last 100 years. I think it pisses her off that his world has grown beyond her, that he has come to trust other people and the reason that Eric no longer trusts Pam is because she disobeyed him and nearly killed Sookie. Did she do it to save Eric’s life? Maybe. Did she do it because she was being a jealous brat? More likely.
I don’t think Pam realized that her actions were going to have such dire consequences to her relationship with her maker. He obviously still loves her or he would have just let her rot in the Authority’s jail and meet the true death, but Pam’s inability to see that there are more important issues at hand than her rocky relationship with Eric doesn’t make him abusive. To me it just means that he gets there’s a bigger picture than his progeny. Maybe Pam needs to take a step back and realize the world is bigger than her maker.
Did anyone else yell, “Peepaw Baggins!” when Jason got in the car with Warlow, or was that just me?
"Well, I got news for you, Andy. Life ain’t fair and there ain’t no santa claus neither. And when you stick Mr. Happy inside of somebody’s hoo-ha without a raincoat on babies come out!"
-Arlene Bellefleur (via womaninterrupted)
I think this was my favorite line in the entire episode, at least from a comedy perspective.
I would hate it if they killed off Pam, but it’s a possibility I can’t ignore. I don’t hate Nora but it won’t matter to me if she dies. Pam, on the other hand?I think she is still filming b/c she posted a picture on instagram of one of joe’s alcide has a pack stickers on the cast parking lot sign the other day…but I totally think someone important to Eric is going to die I am going with Nora though

Holy shit.
Eric’s face vs Bill’s face. Enough said.
You know with Bill’s face here, I’m having a difficult time discerning his reaction. With Eric it’s obvious: he knows Russell is going after Sookie and he’s rightfully afraid for her. Russell is a badass and Eric knows how dangerous he is. Bill know this too, and yet there isn’t fear on his face. He’s not worried for Sookie. He almost seems annoyed by Eric’s reaction. Maybe it’s because of the side eyes he’s giving, but clearly he’s not thinking about how he can possibly get the fuck up out of the Authority to go rescue the woman he claimed to love so dearly. The one “restored his preshus humanatay”. It leaves me wondering if Bill is pissed that Russell has beaten him to the punch in going after Sookie for the purposes of subjugation, or if maybe he’s annoyed with Eric for having those nancy boy feelings for a human when clearly, their kind is superior to her. (Note the extreme sarcasm there.) I’m just not sure of what to make of it, but either way, it’s obvious Bill doesn’t care as much as he claims to have cared in the past.

Crossed Out Name

SUMMARY: The Commandment Killer leaves his/her victims in the prayer position and each victim appears to have been strangled… until the autopsy where it’s discovered the victims have been drained as well. There are no marks left on the bodies to suggest how this has been accomplished, suggesting the involvement of a vampire. All of the victims have a connection to Steve Newlin, yet there is no evidence directly linking him to any of the murders and there is no evidence that puts him at any of the crime scenes. So who is responsible for these heinous crimes? Sookie Stackhouse has been sent to investigate. Six months prior to the Great Revelation, she was recruited by Nora Gainesborough to work for the Authority. Now human and vampire authorities are teaming up in the hopes of catching the “Commandment Killer” before a sixth victim can be killed.

Dee's Babbling: Okay, really?
If you think anonymous reviews pointing out my preferred character’s flaws and mistakes or telling me to get off my high horse are going to make me do anything but roll my eyes and laugh, you came to the wrong girl.
Honestly, the proof is in the pudding. Two, maybe three, reviews slamming me against all the others agreeing with me or saying it was funny? I know who to listen to.
That’s the thing I hate about this new review system on fanfiction.net. What was wrong with the old one where the author could choose to allow or block anonymous reviews? Instead now it’s set up so anyone can review, whether they are logged in or not, and they can either leave a name or just leave a review as a ‘Guest’. And then you either have to allow or delete the ‘guest’ reviews. Let me tell you, I don’t see how that is better. Cause personally while I would love to just delete those anonymous reviews, if I do, I just feel like a bitch who can pick and choose what I allow people to say about my stories.
At least with the old system if someone wanted to flame you and you had anon reviews blocked they had to log in and own up to their flaming remarks. Which, to me, is a much better system. I don’t think we should have the ability, beyond blocking anon reviews, to pick and choose what we allow to be posted as a review. It just negates the whole feedback deal for me. Cause if someone doesn’t log in and leaves a review and I don’t agree with it, I can just be a bitch and delete it.
You can’t delete signed reviews, which to me makes the ability to block anon reviews even better. Cause I can at any point delete an anon review. If they are forced to log in to review not only do I know who is attacking me and can address it, but I can’t take it away in a fit of bitchiness because I don’t agree. At the most I can report it for abuse.
Half the time, if I can respond to a criticism left, I can explain my thought process or, if it’s constructive, thank the person personally for pointing out my mistakes. It helps work out misunderstandings. And then there are the ones who will never concede to the fact that I have a point and we’ll just agree to disagree. I actually like communicating with my reviewers, the good and the bad because hey, I learn something new from it.
Also, why tear down someone’s preferred ‘ship? I don’t go attacking other people’s favorite ‘ships if I don’t agree with them. I don’t try and make them feel bad for preferring one couple or another.
And why would I open myself up to the harsh criticism that is inevitable with a Sookie and Eric pairing? Because off the top of my head I can safely say that that my harshest reviews come from Sookie and Eric stories, not Sookie and Alcide. Additionally, I can’t for the life of me remember getting reviews that slam Sookie for standing up to Alcide the way I have or seen in other stories when she does the same to Eric. Now I do have some where Sookie is slammed but even I’ll admit that in that particular story it’s justified. Sorta. But that’s another story.
I’m a big girl and flames don’t bother me as much as they used to when I was younger. I’m confident in my own writing that when other people put down something I’ve done I can shrug it off with very little annoyance. But I fail to see how my choice to avoid setting myself up for those kind of attacks is a reason to slam my ‘ship. I’m sorry, but if there are fans out there who bash Sookie when she is justified for standing up to Alcide, I haven’t seen them. I have seen the same happen with Sookie and Eric pairings. So forgive me for avoiding that. I think it’s healthier for me, personally, to avoid situations where I want to strangle someone for being irrational and fanatic.
Sookie hate isn’t just something a few people see or imagine. It’s real and it’s out there. Sookie is very much damned if she does and damned if she don’t. Orgasms Equal Forgiveness is a pure parody. These select fans make it seem like they just want Sookie to forgive and forget whatever Eric does. That’s what I’ve given them. Yes it’s funny. No I don’t regret it because I’m not the only one who finds this line of thought to be irrational and stupid. But coming and slamming me for putting it out there accomplishes nothing. It just makes me want to write more drivel where Eric is an ass and Sookie forgives because he’s pretty and hot in bed. So go on, egg me on. I can write ficlets like these forever. It’s good writing exercise.
It’s good to vent.
Amen, sister. Amen.

[10] tv shows: 7- True Blood
Bill Compton: You’re connected. He’ll be able to sense your emotions
Sookie Stackhouse: You big lying A-hole
Eric Northman: Bill, you’re right. I believe I can sense her emotions.
To me this just goes to show that Eric doesn’t view Sookie as a commodity. She isn’t something he thinks he can buy or sell to the highest bidder. I think it’s obvious that Bill also assumes that everyone else sees Sookie the same way he does. He presumes that Eric is only interested in Sookie for the same reasons he is. He thinks Eric is only interested in the fact that Sookie’s a telepath, and assumes that Eric wants to harness that talent for his own personal use. I believe the clinical term for that would be “projecting”. Of course, Bill is wrong, as per usual, but I think he sees this exchange as nothing more than Eric being a stubborn douche who will stop at nothing to get his way, when really all Eric wants is for Sookie to come to him of her own free will. Something that Sookie has only ever done with Bill that very first night they met.
